Owens Corning’s, alike GAF’s, commitment to sustainability is evident through their ENERGY STAR® rated shingles, which help reduce energy consumption and environmental impact while enhancing home comfort. There are problems with warranty claims against Owens Corning documented across the internet, namely difficulty claiming, delays and frequent disputes.  For this reason we rate OC at 8/10.

As a leading manufacturer of building materials, CertainTeed definitely rank highly for quality and craftsmanship in the roofing industry. Their Landmark® series offers a diverse selection of shingles, combining aesthetic appeal with great performance. With options ranging from traditional asphalt to luxury designer shingles, CertainTeed caters to the diverse preferences of homeowners while ensuring uncompromising quality. Negatives for CertainTeed are again, alike Owens Corning, with numerous reported warranty issues, also they previously suffered one of the biggest class action lawsuits from homeowners for selling defective shingles. Rating 7.5/10

Whilst Atlas have definitely improved over recent years, their are still industry concerns around the granule loss problems they have suffered over the 35 year history of the company.  Jury is out here 6/10
